  1. Font Control is an FKEY,  a little program you can start up by pressing a Command-Shift-number combination on your keyboard.
  2. You really need this FKEY if you own a Imagewriter or a StyleWriter and would like to decently print texts.
  3. The Apple drivers for these printers do not include a Fractional Widths option, so the printed text is misaligned.
  4. It lets you use TrueType typefaces even if the corresponding bitmap fonts are available. 
  5. Moreover, you can avoid that ugly distortion extending beyond the ascent and/or the descent line, such as caps characters with accents, tildes, etc.
